CSF
Didn't see one posted, so: Charlotte trailing 1-0 in the 6th B-Ham with a 1-0 lead Hudson getting it done through 5 innings. Viciedo with a blast. Winston-Salem getting smashed 7-0 Morel with the lone hit for the Dash Kanny losing 7-6 Phegley with a homer, Mitchell with a triple. Bristol losing 6-1 in the 7th Great Falls vs Helena Edited July 25, 2009 by CSF
danman31
Zaleski with 6 strong innings but is getting outdueled for the Knights Zaleski is 27, but having a damn good year. That was his first outing with the Knights. Viciedo goes yard for the Barons Hudson pitching well. Nothing much to say about Dash game Kanny losing 7-6 Mitchell 1-3 with a triple. Phegley went yard. Leesman got crushed. I lost.

CSF
8 scoreless innings for Hudson, 2 hits, 7 K's. 2nd best pitching performance in the organization this week. I wonder who had the best.... Edited July 25, 2009 by CSF
Palehosefan
Hudson inching closer to Minor League POY status. Having a very similar rise and season to Jon Rauch years ago. He's either pitching himself into a major piece for a Dan Haren type trade, or a potential rotation spot next year. Also, Brandon Short has found his power stroke with the arrival of Jared. 3 homers now in his last 3 games, with 4 total on the season. BearSox
Hope we let Hudson at least attempt the CG. The best stat of the night, through 8 IP, Hudson has only thrown 82 pitches. That's awesome.
CSF
JorDanks 2-3 with an RBI single. Back up to .292, slowly creeping back towards .300.

SoxFan562004
any reports on how Mitchell is looking against LHPs? He obviously is raw due to playing football for 2/3 years at LSU, but the little I've seen and what I've read that's where he needs the most work
fathom
I firmly believe Bellamy will be the first player from the 2009 draft for the Sox to make the majors.
scenario
QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 24, 2009 -> 09:01 PM) I firmly believe Bellamy will be the first player from the 2009 draft for the Sox to make the majors. I think that's a good bet. He could move through the system very quickly.
CSF
Daniel Black with the GW HR for Kanny.
ThunderBolt
Dan Hudson is proving himself to be a special kind of pitcher. Sadly. i'm not liking his chances of still being in the organization by the end of the year.
BigEdWalsh
As dreadful a day as the Sox had it's refreshing to see some good performances in the minors today. Thank goodness.
dasox24
QUOTE (CSF @ Jul 24, 2009 -> 09:05 PM) Daniel Black with the GW HR for Kanny. SoxAce will be happy.
CSF
'kay, Gameday & MILB both suck ass. Neither is updating the B-Ham score after the 8th. Last out recorded was David Cook to end the 8th. Is it raining in B-ham or something?

Ozzie Ball
Fernando Hernandez pitched the 9th in the Barons game, Hudson only threw 82 pitches, it barely seems like they're even stretching him. The radio guys called it the most impressive start of the year.
flavum
I know it's not happening, but there's part of me that would just like to see a five man rotation the rest of the year of Buehrle, Floyd, Danks, Hudson, and Torres, just to see what happens. SoxAce
QUOTE (CSF @ Jul 24, 2009 -> 09:05 PM) Daniel Black with the GW HR for Kanny. QUOTE (dasox24 @ Jul 24, 2009 -> 09:14 PM) SoxAce will be happy. Heavy D!! :headbang Still crazy to see him get drafted, yet alone in the sox organization. It's also nice to see Phegley hit a homer (yet a hit) as he's really been struggling. I don't think he's used to struggling like this before, though he's still getting used to a wooden bat. Mitchell.... so far so good.
