Per Rotoworld:

According to FOXSports.com, the Blue Jays will receive infielders Edwin Encarnacion and Yonder Alonso from the Reds for third baseman Scott Rolen.

It'd be a surprisingly nice haul for the Jays. Alonso was a first-round pick just a year ago and Encarnacion is a full eight years younger than Rolen.

3:14pm: Rolen approved the deal, according to Joel Sherman of the New York Post (on Twitter). ESPN's Keith Law says Yonder Alonso is not in the deal. Instead, it'll be Encarnacion, Josh Roenicke, and Zach Stewart heading to Toronto acco

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 31, 2009 -> 03:21 PM)
Twitter is getting on my f***ing nerves. I'm just going to sit back and wait for official press releases.

3:23pm @Canofcorn: I have a hair stuck in my teeth.

3:24pm @Canofcorn: I'm watching Action Jackson while on the phone with GMs.

3:25pm @Canofcorn: Just got off the phone with Jocketty. Hairston for Jackson.

This move makes very little sense. Are the Reds going for it? Maybe.? Are they going anywhere? No. What good does this do in the long-term? Does it rid you of a decent-3b, and two good pitching prospects? That's about all it does do.
