chw42
Even if we don't win anything this year. The next couple of years will be absolutely AMAZING in terms of pitching. Even if Peavy puts up a ERA in the mid 3s instead of the 2s, he's still a very, very good starter. 1. Peavy 2. Buehrle 3. Danks 4. Floyd All I have to say is wow. That's going to be the best pitching staff in the AL for years to come.
nitetrain8601
Very studly. Knowing Kenny, he'll probably try to trade for Felix Hernandez to fill our 5th's starters role.

Not saying he's better than Peavy, but I think he'll be our Opening Day starter. Maybe Hudson as the #5 starter if he keeps raping in the minors? Jordan4life_2007
It's about 32705462340243703441 times easier to build/maintain a consistent winner when you have your rotation in order (see the 90's Braves). I feel so damn good right now.
jphat007
Now if we can jsut get a big bat in the offseason and we are good to go.
winninguglyin83
it sounds good. But let's remember they are all pitchers. Health is no guarantee.
Jordan4life_2007
QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Jul 31, 2009 -> 03:57 PM) This deal isn't for this year, just remember that. When the Sox want to start making the transition, having this big four to build around is going to make things a hell of alot easier. This is true. But a move like this can single-handedly, I don't know, re-energize (not sure what word I'm looking for) a team.
SoxFan1
I hope Torres can hold that 5 spot down for years. That top 4 is awesome.

BearSox
Gavin Floyd - 26 (2-3 years away from prime) John Danks - 24 (4+ years away from prime) Mark Buehrle - 30 (In prime) Jake Peavy - 28 (About to enter prime, true ACE potential when Healthy) Dan Hudson 22 (Tons of upside) Yeah, our rotation is looking damn good for the future. The best thing is, Floyd and Danks still have a while until they hit their prime.

Not saying I disagree with you. But there's no such thing as untouchable with KW the GM. If there was something out there that he thought made the Sox better and Hudson had to go, HE GAWN! BearSox
QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Jul 31, 2009 -> 04:19 PM) I'm excited to watch Poreda and Richard out in San Diego. With them in the NL on a bad team, I'm rooting for both of them. I think Richard could be the best out of the bunch.

There were some reports that the Sox basically told the Jays that
