scenario
Charlotte vs. Louisville Mobile @ Birmingham Winston-Salem postponed Kannapolis @ Lake County Serafin with the start. ThunderBolt
Viciedo is 2-3 with 3 RBI's. Marrero has two bombs. As the Barons have just exploded on Mobile following a bad start from Shirek. Edited August 3, 2009 by Thunderbolt
danman31
Geez Viciedo is on fire. Marrero too after slumping upon promotion. Serafin must have a nasty curve tonight. That's a ridiculous amount of Ks for a 5'10" dude.

dasox24
Except for Brandon Short, that whole Kannapolis lineup is really struggling. They're all batting like .230, .240. Viciedo heating up is getting me pretty excited. If he keeps this up and finishes the year around .300 and continues the power surge, look out... Oh, and I love CJ Retherford. He just produces. 40 XBH's this year so far and the average is at .293 now. Pretty darn good for a second baseman.

Yep, I gotta wonder if CJ is going to be given a shot as a starting infielder somewhere, or if he's going to be a utility type guy for most of his career. We don't seem to have an infield position open right now, but he should be decently valuable as an offseason trade chip if need be. NorthSideSox72
Remenowsky got beat up again. Its funny, after Tyson Corley got promoted from the Kanny pen, Remenowsky's next outing was terrible, then he was fine. Now Burdie and Albritton get promoted, and his next outing was terrible again. I see a theme here.
Friend of Nordhagen
QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Aug 2, 2009 -> 07:05 PM) Viciedo is 2-3 with 3 RBI's. Marrero has two bombs. Anyone know how he is with the glove?
NorthSideSox72
QUOTE (Friend of Nordhagen @ Aug 3, 2009 -> 10:35 AM) I'm starting to think that the trade of Brandon Allen was because Marrero was right behind him. Anyone know how he is with the glove? I really wouldn't put Marrero in the same ballpark as Allen as prospects for 1B go. Look at Marrero's numbers the last couple years. For a 1B, they aren't great. No way Marrero was pressuring Allen.
