Balta1701
QUOTE (RME JICO @ Aug 4, 2009 -> 05:28 PM) Longoria vs Beckham? After 184 at bats, Beckham has 6 home runs, 17 doubles, .860 OPS. Same number of at bats last year, Longoria had 8 home runs, 11 doubles, 1 triple, .780 OPS. Similar ages at the time too I think.

chw42
Are they seriously pushing Morales to the 6th spot? He's easily their best hitter right now.

chw42
When they get Torii Hunter back, this lineup will be scary as hell. 1. Figgins 3B 2. Abreu RF 3. Hunter CF 4. Guerrero DH 5. Morales 1B 6. Rivera LF 7. Napoli C 8. Aybar SS 9. Izturis/Kendrick 2B That 2-7 is very powerful and they have the speedsters to get on.

Princess Dye
Ya know, after all this CQ-is-dead talk, he is third on the team in AB per HR unless we want to count resident batsmith Mark Buehrle

BlackBetsy
Setting all the cartoonish Beckham love aside, you HAVE to say that Beckham smokes the ball like no Sox rookie since Frank Thomas. I mean, the kid is truly amazing. He's just hitting hard line drives, many of which are just too low to get out of the park. I'm starting to believe that those doubles are going to turn into homers. I'm starting to believe that Beckham's upside is Paul Molitor + 10 homers / season. Which is scary good at 3B, 2B or SS.
