Buzz Aldrin - There's a Monolith on Mars' Moon

"We should go boldly where man has not gone before – fly by the comets, visit asteroids, visit the moon of Mars. There’s a monolith there. A very unusual structure on this little potato shaped object that goes around Mars once in seven hours. When people find out about that, they’re going to say "Who put that there?" Well, the universe put it there. If you choose, God put it there."

What He's Referencing....

TheSun.co.uk-

The rectangular structure — measuring five metres across — was photographed by a super high resolution camera on the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter.

The giant monolith juts out of the planet's surface casting a huge shadow below.

......

But scientists at the University of Arizona have cast doubt on the discovery saying the huge object is a "boulder".

A spokesman for the university's Lunar and Planetary Laboratory said: "It would be unwise to refer to it as a 'monolith' or 'structure' because that implies something artificial, like it was put there by someone for example.

"In reality it's more likely that this boulder has been created by breaking away from the bedrock to create a rectangular-shaped feature."

Too bad I won't live long enough to see us figure out how to terraform Mars, that would be awesome.

They can't fix the Earth's ozone layer; what makes you think that they can create a breathable atmosphere on a planet thousands of miles farther from the sun than the Earth?

We took care of the ozone layer problem. It just takes time to fully heal.

Yeah we finally got most of the women to stop using that damn aerosol hairspray... it'll fix it.

Yeah, but now a Bon Jovi or Def Leppard crowd just doesn't look the same.

Of course, that could be because of the mom jeans, too....

I just feel like it was very similar to Sphere which was a great movie and better book. Event Horizon was 'ehh', I'd rather watch Sphere

I thought Sphere was a disappointing movie, but the book was definitely good. That was back when Chricton was actually writing stuff worth reading, not bad movie scripts for the SciFi channel.
