Thornton is just a machine out there. He makes it look easy. Alexei's coming up huge for this team while some of the big names continue to do nothing productive. Hopefully we saw Jose's last start tonight. Thanks for a strong Sox career, but it's time to hang them up.

God the defense was TERRIBLE. Nice to see the team stick in it. The pen was awesome.

Watched some Little League World Series tonight and I swear the 12 year-olds are fundamentally better in the field than these guys are of late.

Brutal is too kind a word to describe it.

Jose would have looked a lot better if they didn't make four errors behind him.

Didnt get to see this game. How did Rios look in CF?

he had an error because he and Q had zero communication, other than that very smooth.

Ugly, but a good win. DJ, Thornton, Dotel (great to see him look sharp tonight) and Bobby came through! Alexi was clutch!

Like I have said all year long, it is the mental mistakes that are killing us. How can you get to the majors and not understand the game of baseball?

No joke. He is just beautiful out there. We haven't seen a defender out there like this for a long time.

It was amazing. I'm pretty sure its going to be simliar to what I see when Cutler starts throwing passes in Chicago.

even tho we won im pretty disappointed. there is no reason a 6-0 game should go like this. the errors are ridiculous

Im actually pretty excited, we usually lose in Oakland, especially games like this, maybe we can start breaking old habits and win in Oakland, and possibly Minnesota later.

Rios makes it look a lot easier and seems to cover more ground.

Yep, Rios makes hard plays look routine. That’s the sign of a great defender. He doesn’t need to finish a play with a flourish; he finishes it with an out. His range will markedly improve our outfield, in ways that only BA could do before.

yea, u gotta be excited with the win but for a team that could quite possibly be in the playoffs, we b\cant be playing like this
