southsider2k5
God the defense was TERRIBLE. Nice to see the team stick in it. The pen was awesome.
fathom
Thornton is just a machine out there. He makes it look easy. Alexei's coming up huge for this team while some of the big names continue to do nothing productive. Hopefully we saw Jose's last start tonight. Thanks for a strong Sox career, but it's time to hang them up.
prochisox
Thank god, and this should be Jose's last game here. he just doesnt have it anymore.

ThunderBolt
Our bullpen is deadly when it's on. Nice win tonight, but depressing to see Contreras make (potentially) his last start ever for this team.
FlaSoxxJim
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 15, 2009 -> 01:11 AM) God the defense was TERRIBLE. Nice to see the team stick in it. The pen was awesome. Watched some Little League World Series tonight and I swear the 12 year-olds are fundamentally better in the field than these guys are of late. Brutal is too kind a word to describe it. SoxFan562004
QUOTE (son of a rude @ Aug 15, 2009 -> 12:16 AM) Didnt get to see this game. How did Rios look in CF? he had an error because he and Q had zero communication, other than that very smooth. Ugly, but a good win. DJ, Thornton, Dotel (great to see him look sharp tonight) and Bobby came through! Alexi was clutch!

southsider2k5
QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Aug 15, 2009 -> 12:18 AM) Like a real CF No joke. He is just beautiful out there. We haven't seen a defender out there like this for a long time.
whitesoxfan101
We have a good bullpen, Alexei is a good hitter in big spots, Bacon is the man, Castro is a decent backup catcher. That's about all I got tonight. This game made me feel worse about our chances, if anything. At least we won though.
Chisoxfn
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 14, 2009 -> 10:18 PM) No joke. He is just beautiful out there. We haven't seen a defender out there like this for a long time. It was amazing. I'm pretty sure its going to be simliar to what I see when Cutler starts throwing passes in Chicago. whitesoxfan101
Rios is going to be a better defensive CF than Rowand right? Just making sure.

SockMe
even tho we won im pretty disappointed. there is no reason a 6-0 game should go like this. the errors are ridiculous

greg775
Would have been nice if KC coulda got a run for Greinke. Detroit is now gonna sweep that series so we better win the next two. Love to see Lexi mash the ball. Poor Jose. Cut him loose.

Yep, Rios makes hard plays look routine. That’s the sign of a great defender. He doesn’t need to finish a play with a flourish; he finishes it with an out. His range will markedly improve our outfield, in ways that only BA could do before.
