lostfan
How often do we win series late in the summer, in Oakland?

chw42
We won a series in late summer at Oakland last year. We need a sweeeeeeeeeeeep. Go get 'em Johnny.
Milkman delivers
Who does Danks face tomorrow? I forget who it was, but someone said it'd be tough for Thome to reach #600 next year. The guy just needs to hit 7 more this year to make it an even 30 next year. That seems quite attainable to me.

Hopefully that will encourage Jim to come back to the South Side next year and play at a discounted price. Looking forward, we could very well need his left handed power bat next year. flavum
Hopefully the Sox realize that winning the series at this time of the season just isn't good enough. Especially with Detroit taking care of business against KC. They have 45 games to try to get wins, and they better come out tomorrow ready to play. joeynach
QUOTE (SockMe @ Aug 15, 2009 -> 06:20 PM) very impressed by Nix First and Last time. Though he was facing a lefty.
Tel Aviv
See, there is no boogyman Coliseum curse. Just as there isn't such a thing as a Hubert H. Humprey Horrodome. Just play all-round sound ball and wins will come, in bunches.
greg775
Great win. Why did Lexi get taken out? Were we up big when he got taken out of the game or did he get hurt? We need to sweep because Detroit figures to sweep KC which we better do as well when we play them soon in the Cell. witesoxfan
QUOTE (joeynach @ Aug 15, 2009 -> 06:56 PM) First and Last time. Though he was facing a lefty. Nix has been pretty damn solid off the bench all year. Doesn't light the world on fire, but most bench players dont.
Balta1701
QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 15, 2009 -> 05:00 PM) Great win. Why did Lexi get taken out? Were we up big when he got taken out of the game or did he get hurt? Didn't get hurt that we knew about. Most likely Ozzie wanted to get Lilliputian a little work in a game in case he does need to use him for real at some point.

ThunderBolt
I happen to really like Nix. Even when he doesn't do well. Nights like this give me hope.
stretchstretch
ozzie, LOL "Every time this guy hits a home run it's history," Guillen said. "One thing about Jimmy is he's really humble. If it was me, I guarantee you everybody in the stadium would know I [tied] Reggie Jackson."
BigSqwert
And we're slowly inching our way into the wild card race. Tied with Seattle now. 6.5 back.
