Balta1701
QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Aug 16, 2009 -> 02:38 PM) I still think you do Peavy, Buehrle, Floyd for (what should be) a 3 game series, but Danks is making it a nice question to debate. Eh, you still put 4 pitchers out there in a 5 game series unless you're forced to run people out on short rest. it's 2 games, day off, 2 games, then day off, then 1 game. Game 4 would be 3 days rest for your game 1 starter.
ThunderBolt
QUOTE (Markbilliards @ Aug 16, 2009 -> 05:37 PM) What's with the bunt hatred? Just because our team fails to execute too much? The majority of us see it as a waste of an out. An out that could be better served with instead a hit, walk, groundout, or a fly ball.
TitoMB345
QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Aug 16, 2009 -> 05:39 PM) Can we hire someone to tell them the exact opposite? Is Earl Waver or Manny Acta available? Well, Ozzie is very fascinated with the bunt, even though no one on this team knows how to get one down on a consistent basis. jphat007
QUOTE (TitoMB345 @ Aug 16, 2009 -> 04:41 PM) So glad we bunted there. Worked out perfectly. What the f*** does the fact that we bunted have to do with the fact that Nix couldn't put the ball in play? Was he going to hit better with a guy on 1st and 2nd than 2nd and 3rd? beautox
i love wasting outs, nice to see kotsay get it down but still hes 2-2 on the day a double and a single; hes got a very solid approach at the plate and we waste an out....
ThunderBolt
QUOTE (bobryansson @ Aug 16, 2009 -> 05:41 PM) Does Nix kiss his mother with that mouth? After he and his brother getting randomly placed y’s in the middle of their names, I doubt either talks to their mother much.
son of a rude
Nix has to be the one that comes through there. Submarine lefties are always tough on lefties.

Soxbadger
I wonder what people would have said if Kotsay grounded into a double play. Marshall looked good, the Sox had an opportunity to score a run on a sacrifice fly and it didnt happen.
ILMOU
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 16, 2009 -> 03:40 PM) Eh, you still put 4 pitchers out there in a 5 game series unless you're forced to run people out on short rest. it's 2 games, day off, 2 games, then day off, then 1 game. Game 4 would be 3 days rest for your game 1 starter. In an ALCS or WS, you MAY only have the days off after Game 2 and Game 5 - best to use a four-man rotation in that case, but with Danks and Floyd being within a whisker of one another performance-wise, I use the 4 man rotation anyway. Unless Peavy is SO dominant where you have to pitch him as much as possible.
