jphat007
Somebody else other than Thornton has to be able to get somebody out, but we have NOBODY to do that right now. I sure as hell hope we ahve cash left to get a bullpen arm.
CWSOX45
QUOTE (TheBigHurt @ Aug 17, 2009 -> 09:20 PM) I have always supported Linebrink, but I'm REALLY getting tired of him. This.
ThunderBolt
Have any of these f***heads read a f***ing scouting report? This is a f***ing fireable offense, Ozzie.

EvilJester99
Linebrink is like a lame horse... they should put him out of his misery...and ours for that matter.
fathom
Maybe we'll get our first walkoff homer of the year, so they can replay this game in 2011 during a rain delay?
BigSqwert
QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 17, 2009 -> 10:21 PM) That's the last time you can pitch him in a close game. Yeah right. Ozzie is as stubborn as they get.
chw42
Why did Ozzie take out Matt Thornton again?
sin city sox fan
I'm not as upset by the HR as I am by the back-to-back walks.....you just can't give a team 2 free runners with a three run lead......thats a recipe for disaster.
jphat007
QUOTE (TheBigHurt @ Aug 17, 2009 -> 10:21 PM) Hearing that from you speaks volumes. Why? fathom's wanted Ozzie gone for awhile. Bottom line is that nobody in our bullpen is worth a s*** these days other than Thornton.

jphat007
QUOTE (chw42 @ Aug 17, 2009 -> 10:22 PM) Why did Ozzie take out Matt Thornton again? Because he can't pitch 3 innings a game for the rest of the season! Somebody has to step the f*** up.

ThunderBolt
It's alarming to me that Jacobs can only hit one pitch, and Ozzie leaves in the guy who plays perfectly to that strength. It speaks volumes that Ozzie could screw up this obvious of a move.
chetkincaid
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Aug 17, 2009 -> 10:20 PM) We should give Linebrink an extension. I'd like to extend my foot up his ass... I'd like to extend him an invitation to leave on the next plane outta town... Let's trade him to the tigers for a bucket of baseballs and some sunflower seeds for Ozzie to hit the WELCOME TO MILWAUKEE sign with...
TheBigHurt
Have any of these f***heads read a f***ing scouting report? This is a f***ing fireable offense, Ozzie. This sums up Ozzie Guillen's managing ability. Regardless, Linebrink not being able to finish the job with 2 outs and nobody on is just as much on him as it is Ozzie. Harry Chappas
Guillen was fine for the first two, maybe three hitters but after walking Teahan, go with the lefty....
sin city sox fan
Not that I agree with the logic....but I'm guessing Linebrink was left in the game with hopes of saving the bullpen. With Garcia and Contreras going the next two nights, you have to figure the pen is going to get some work.

Bottom line is that nobody in our bullpen is worth a s*** these days other than Thornton. Yep, and I thought he was doing a very good job this season up until that Cubs debacle with Linebrink. Since then, it just seems like he's really made some weird decisions and the team has been far too flat when they should be going for sweeps.
