southsider2k5
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 25, 2009 -> 10:42 AM) John McCain's voting record so far this session is one of the most Conservative/Republican records in the Senate. (Limited data admittedly). Kinda like Obama's was the most liberal?
lostfan
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 25, 2009 -> 02:37 PM) Kinda like Obama's was the most liberal? There are times (most of the time really) where your attempts at tu quoque rebuttals fall flat but this one was pretty spot-on.

I will admit, this is a solid point as well, which is why I pointed out that i was only citing some limited data.
Texsox
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 25, 2009 -> 01:37 PM) Kinda like Obama's was the most liberal? great point. Has anyone seen a voting record summary when straight party line voting was taken out of the equation? So often so many of the votes are along party lines and perhaps not the best indicator. I'd like to see what they would vote if freed from party considerations.
EvilMonkey
In the pre-book hype about his book, the publisher saud that Ridge was pressured to raise the threat level. Former Homeland Security secretary Tom Ridge, speaking for the first time about accusations made in his new book, says he did not mean to suggest that other top Bush administration officials were playing politics with the nation's security before the 2004 presidential election......Now, Ridge says he did not mean to suggest he was pressured to raise the threat level, and he is not accusing anyone of trying to boost Bush in the polls. "I was never pressured," Ridge said. http://rpc.blogrolling.com/redirect.php?r=...%2Face.mu.nu%2F
