Weirdest Baseball Moments

What are some of the wierdest baseball moments that you've witnessed (or seen in replays) before? Whether they're amazing plays or just acts of idiocy on the playing field.

I would say for me it would be

-Pablo Ozuna throwing out Sean Casey at first from LF

-Steve Lyons pulling his pants down at first base

-I forgot who it was (maybe Tejada), but a SS was trying to field a ground ball that went into his jersey.

The guy in the minors that was doing a soldiers crawl towards the mound and lobbing the ball as if it were a grenade.

Oh yeah, that minor league braves manager had another good one where a HR ball was called foul and he didnt agree, so he went and picked up the 3rd base, put it right where the SS is positioned, and then called the ball foul

Someone crawling through air ducts to steal a corked bat. Was it Albert Belle's?

That was the stand-up gentleman, Jason Grimsley.

Does anyone have the video of the foul ball going into the home plate umpire's pocket? I remember someone posted a video of it some time ago, but I can't find it on youtube. I believe Thomas was batting.

Dude, remember that guy's head falling off when he robbed that homer?

"Winfield goes back to the wall. He hits his head on the wall -- and it rolls off! It's rolling all the way back to second base! This is a terrible thing for the Padres." - Jerry Coleman (San Diego Padres radio announcer), describing a fly ball to Dave Winfield

White Sox @ Yankees, August 9, 2005. Kid jumped on the net, was chilling there for a while. He was terrified and embarrassed. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/recap?gameId=250809110

yeah, I remember that. His friends said he wasn't even drunk - he just said he wondered if the net would hold him. Then at some point, he found out.

He's lucky it did - clearly it isn't meant for that purpose.

Opening day 1974, Angels and White Sox. Nolan Ryan vs. Wilbur Wood. Sox lost 8-2. At that point I had been to like 6 home openers in a row. But that was the last one I've ever been to. The game was marred by streakers (all male) and lots of fights in the stands. Some women in the crowd began to disrobe a few times but never got very far. One guy made it into centerfield wearing nothing but sneakers and a Sox helmet and did a hand stand. There was one fight in the left field upper deck right at the railing late in the game. I seriously thought somebody was going to go over and drop to their death. I'm no prude but I was sickened by what went on that day and decided no more openers. Chuck Tanner was managing then he said, "I never saw anything like it. If it goes beyond Opening Day, the average fan couldn't take it." There were no more reports of naked fans for the rest of the season.
