Brian
After a 3 year hiatus, because of knees and lower back problems, FINALLY, Brian HAS COME BACK TO HIS FALL SOFTBALL TEAM! Just playing 1st base but am afraid to let it go on my swing in fear of aggravating my back again. Other than that, I'm excited.
The Critic
Nice! I went to a friend's tournament last weekend, and it was a weird feeling - I kept going back and forth between kind of wanting to grab a bat and not being interested at all. Overall, I was less interested than I thought I'd be. I hadn't been to a softball field since my disastrous 3-game "comeback attempt" last summer. Brian
I hope I last 3 games. I'm only 30 but breaking down like I am 50.
The Critic
QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 21, 2009 -> 07:38 PM) I hope I last 3 games. I'm only 30 but breaking down like I am 50. I completely understand. Here's how I knew I was done - every single necessary softball motion hurt. Bend over to field a grounder - back hurt. Throw the ball - shoulder hurt. Swing the bat - elbow hurt. Run - knee/foot hurt. Take away those four things and all that's left is drinking. I can still do that pretty well.
WilliamTell
Fall softball is fun. In our league it's usally a better time. More teams seem to have fun.
maggsmaggs
Just finished my summer league about two weeks ago. Loved it. Played short, but our pitcher sucked and walked far too many batters for 16-inch softball. It's so weird getting used to no gloves after playing baseball my whole life and 12-inch softball last summer.

Brian
2 for 5, with a double, single, run scored, RBI. We won 21-2. I popped up 3 times because we were up so much and I just tried crushing the ball.
