jasonxctf
read this on Politico.. blurb about the Sox... Some are easy to identify with. As White House senior adviser David Axelrod puts it, the president dislikes it when “folks try to get him to wear baseball gear for teams other than the White Sox.” Read more: http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0809/...l#ixzz0PDehWTQb

bighurt4life
i love it that he's a real fan, not just pretending to be sports fan to connect with the "common" man.
Chisoxfn
Be careful guys. We all know my political views but I do think its cool that Obama roots for his team. I would debate how big of a fan he is, but regardless he supports the Sox and that is a-ok with me. But if I see presidental and political talk in here, this thread will be headed to the Buster
TitoMB345
Anyone know how long he's been a Sox fan for? Has it just been since hes move to Chicago? Correct me if I'm wrong, but he moved here in like 2000 right?
JorgeFabregas
QUOTE (TitoMB345 @ Aug 25, 2009 -> 01:41 PM) Anyone know how long he's been a Sox fan for? Has it just been since hes move to Chicago? Correct me if I'm wrong, but he moved here in like 2000 right? He's lived in Chicago since 1985. He attended Harvard Law starting in 1988, but summered in Chicago. Then he moved back to Chicago after graduating. Don't know how long he's been a Sox fan. jasonxctf
i think he should charge JR $1 for every picture that's reproduced with him wearing a Sox hat/jacket, etc. That's free marketing.
kapkomet
/Trolling and smart ass comment. Seriously, he likes the Sox, and I'm glad he doesn't put on a different uniform for every city (or stadium in some cases) he's in. At least he's consistent about that. MexSoxFan#1
QUOTE (TitoMB345 @ Aug 25, 2009 -> 01:41 PM) Anyone know how long he's been a Sox fan for? Has it just been since hes move to Chicago? Correct me if I'm wrong, but he moved here in like 2000 right? I don't think it matters "when he became a fan" as long as that's the team he roots for from that point on,I've been a Sox fan since the late 70's,longer than some of you have been alive and there's some Sox fans who have following them for more than half a century...I don't consider them more of a fan nor do I consider myself more of a fan of you 20something year olds,we are all fans just the same, the only ones that bug me are the bandwagon kind... Obama doesn't pull a Hillary wearing a Yanks cap in NY and a Cubs cap in Chicago. Edited August 26, 2009 by MexSoxFan#
