f***ing beat f***ing duke.

Greg McDermott might have the longest 0-fer against ranked teams, now 0-13.

I'd love to see ISU get back to where they were in the early 2000's, or the 90's under Floyd, or even the 80's under Johnny Orr. Its a shame the program has been so weak the last half decade or so. Any chance they have the younger talent to start building back up?

We didn't hire a good enough coach. I really think the only reason we hired him is because our AD was scared Iowa would hire him. And now, of course, the guy I wanted is getting things going at A&M.

They have to make noise this year, because they will very likely lose Brackins and Gilstrap after this year and they are really thin in the post. Chris Colvin, from Chicago, will be a very good PG (think Will Blalock, but possibly more talented), but ISU may have to wait for the next coach to be any good. I remember Jas really wanting McDermott, but this is his fourth season and he's yet to beat a ranked team.

That being said, there's no reason we can't beat Duke, or Kansas or Texas at home. We're a top 5 team nationally in three point shooting, so you're never really out of it.

That and none of those three teams have John Shurna, who must be Superman.

I was at the game, it was pretty ugly on both ends from what I saw. JJ is difference for Purdue. Unfortunately for them, they have no depth after him. If he gets in foul trouble, I can't see the guards carrying them past a good, well coached team. I was impressed with Minnesota's Johnson as well.

JJ has been in foul trouble in a few big games already, like Tenneseee. It is a weak front line other then Johnson, but Moore/Hummel are good enough to be capable of getting them past stretches in a game without JJ. They really miss Lew Jack as a primary ball handler though to create a little from the point and maybe push a few fastbreaks. They are playing that typical ugly Big 10 style games heavy on bumps and defensive contact though that is for sure.

What do I know, my team is in shambles since Alford left.

That would be a huge win for you guys. We get them Saturday I'm pumped.

If the Salukis want to show that they can hang, they need to drop UNI tonite. Time to bring back the home court advantage to the Arena

That is why I said a well coached, good team. Pearl isn't the best in game coach and his players basically run whatever offense they please.

Hope Hughes for Wisconsin is okay.

just out of curiosity, why?

Well, I'd be OK with Bradley too, since I like Jim Les. But I don't think they have a chance. And I sure as hell don't want it to be UNI.

No real good reason, I suppose. But the Salukis are OK in my book.

Plus, Row was nice to me once.
