Illinois is right back in the NIT is they don't win their next two games (although if they blow one of them, they'll still have some chances to get very helpful wins and get back in the tournament.)

Bruce Weber 5 year plan is really looking good.

Did John Wall or Scottie Reynolds die or something?

McCamey's maybe the best PG in the B10. Even then, I'd give that to Kalin Lucas.

Lucas is incredibly overrated IMO.I give him credit for hitting big shot this year, but skills wise, I don't think he is as good as people make him to be.

Even though his recruiting has improved (even though it's mainly Jerrance Howard), Weber's job security has to be in question if they don't have a very good season next year. There will be too much talent to accept another middle of the pack, borderline tournament type season in 2010-2011.

Good to see that the bettors have tons of confidence in the Illini tonight @ a bad Michigan team. Wolverines are 3 point favorites.

More importantly though, the battle for best team in Illinois is starting to heat up again. ISU has been hot and is only 14 RPI spots back of the Illini.

So UCONN beat West Virginia last night. That's 3 top 7 (at the time) teams they've knocked off in the past month. They've probably played themselves back into one of the final at-large berths at this time. If they'd have played like this all year they'd probably be firmly entrenched as a 3 or 4 seed. So frustrating this year has been.

What gives with the awful recruiting classes in the Big 10 the last few seasons? It seems that most of the good players are juniors and seniors. Teams like Purdue and Michigan are going to be in a world of trouble when their current junior/senior classes leave.

OSU was #2 in the country in 2008, #7 in 2007 and #2 in 2006. They are #2 for 2010.

Purdue was #5 in 2007 and then dropped off the face of the earth.

MSU and Illinois have been putting some good classes together as well as Minny. IU was actually a top ten class last year. In 2010 you have 3 B10 teams in the top ten.
