Hawk: "he just missed that one."

HE HIT THE f***ING BALL 20 FEET!

We're a few weeks away from Hawk coming out with his 2009 White Sox were so damn close but just were unlucky and/or were screwed. These are the first signs.

Couple of thoughts as I couldn't be less entertained by White Sox baseball if I tried:

- nothing like not having Pods run for Thome when Thome will just strike out against Papelboner's high fastball

- Greg Walker better not be back next year

- It's too bad this team didn't fall out of contention earlier so we could have done a waiver deal to get Jermaine off this team.

The coaching staff is here forever. Only 3rd base coaches get replaced.

nastymasty is right.. pods could've run and makes for a good DH too.

eaxctly and I forgot pods was even on the bench. Wakefield/martinez combo is perfect to steal on especially for a perennial base stealer. Plus pods doesnt have to play the field. Havent touched wakefield all night and now we have 2 at bats to get a run across which is like climbing a mountain for this team. We have a tie game now if ozzie doesnt have his head up his a**.

Well, getting rid of Cox would be a good start. As someone said earlier, every season around this time is the same.

So how many games are we away from having a protected slot in the draft?

We're 15th now, so we're currently protected. After this road trip we should have more breathing room.
