PeavyTime
QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Aug 26, 2009 -> 08:32 PM) Hindsight is 20/20. It's not hindsight. Honestly, I got up and did some laundry cause I knew the inning was over. Francona actually knows what he is doing with his bullpen which is why he brought in the fire-baller to face the old, slow swinging Thome.

fathom
If you didn't look at the player's face, you would think Brian Anderson was still on the Sox with 60 million dollars remaining on his contract. Absolutely terrible at bats by Rios.
southsideirish71
Kenny loves these twitchy slider type relievers. Thriller, Vizcaino, and now Pena. Same pitcher, same crappy results.

Soxbadger
Of the three batters that inning, Rios at bat was by far the best. Maybe Im watching a different game, but bard has basically dominated every hitter hes faced. Rios is having a bad year, it happens. It would have been great if the trade made him break out, it hasnt. But the only reason the Sox got him for free was because he was slumping. If he is playing like every other year in his career the Sox dont get him. Some times you need to be patient, the world isnt about instant gratification.
