ESPNChicago sources confirmed reports that the Minnesota Twins were awarded a waiver claim on Chicago Cubs right-handed pitcher Rich Harden, and that the San Francisco Giants are the team that was awarded a claim on right-hander Aaron Heilman.

In both cases, the teams have until noon on Monday to agree to a deal. The Cubs can also let the players go for the waiver price of $20,000 or pull either player back from waivers.

Players reclaimed by the team that put them on waivers are not eligible to be put back on waivers for 30 days, rendering them essentially untradeable with just over a month left in the season.

Harden is 8-7 with a 3.99 ERA this season in 22 starts for the Cubs. Heilman is 2-3 with a 4.55 ERA in 57 relief appearances entering Friday's game against the New York Mets.

Wouldn't that make them literally untradeable rather than "essentially" untradeable?
