elrockinMT
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Aug 30, 2009 -> 08:22 PM) According to Gonzalez in the Tribune: The Sox hold a $1 million option on Garcia, 34, for 2010 that includes $2 million in incentives based on innings pitched. I think its a lock he's back as long as he doesn't have shoulder setback. I have no problem with that at all. ST might be interesting next year. Kenny Hates Prospects
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Aug 30, 2009 -> 03:22 PM) According to Gonzalez in the Tribune: The Sox hold a $1 million option on Garcia, 34, for 2010 that includes $2 million in incentives based on innings pitched. I think its a lock he's back as long as he doesn't have shoulder setback. I LOVE IT!! Best news of the day IMO. If we can have the old 2006 Freddy back next year as well as a healthy Peavy and Hudson in the back of the pen as the 6th starter, we will have what we need in the rotation to win a division. Balta1701
QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Aug 30, 2009 -> 01:25 PM) I have no problem with that at all. ST might be interesting next year. If Garcia can be adequate the rest of the year, I have no objections to that option at all. Worst case, he's a couple month bridge to Hudson. CSF
Minnesota with 3 in the 8th to lead Texas 5-3. But Nathan and the Twinkies doing their best Sox impersonation in the 9th so far. Nathan walks the leadoff batter, gives up a hit, then makes a bad throw on a tailor-made DP ball back to him. Texas with the bases juiced, nobody out. Watch him strike out the side to preserve the win now.
CSF
Strikeout, shallow fly to left, groundout. No runs scored. Of course.

greg775
Good to see the White Sox show some fight in Boston and NY ... not. What a joke. As expected, they go a stellar 1-6. Now comes the bloodletting in Minnesota. The question is do we get one or get swept? I'll stand by my 2-8 prediction but 1-9 is a real possibility with our lifeless crew which has one of the worst bullpens in the AL right now. southsider2k5
So much for Randy Williams being a better option than anyone else... Ugh. I guess why not run him out there.
greg775
Yeah, Randy Williams is not so good. Add him to the list of guys that hopefully do not grace our mound next year.
G&T
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 30, 2009 -> 04:46 PM) If Garcia can be adequate the rest of the year, I have no objections to that option at all. Worst case, he's a couple month bridge to Hudson. Uh...worst case, he is starting a lot of games that he shouldn't be starting. Wouldn't be the first time. That said, he might be needed, especially at that price.
