JDsDirtySox
Here are Cowleys Twitters from the last ten minutes. Rumors that Jim Thome was traded have just been shot down by Ozzie Guillen. (5 minutes ago) Hold the phone, Thome might be on the move, or at least thinking about waiving the no-trade clause. He's not commenting right now. JDsDirtySox
My money is on the Texas Rangers. Seems like a Nolan Ryan type of move.
JDsDirtySox
Cowley's latest... About 30 minutes for Thome to decide if it's true ... tick, tick, tick ....
ThunderBolt
QUOTE (JDsDirtySox @ Aug 31, 2009 -> 11:32 PM) My money is on the Texas Rangers. Seems like a Nolan Ryan type of move. They have a s***-load of talent their. They're stuggling to find playing time for a lot of people. I'm thinking maybe the Rays.
JDsDirtySox
Not a bad thought Thunder... I think both teams could use his veteran leadership... even if they get his K's with it.
SoxAce
QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Aug 31, 2009 -> 10:33 PM) They have a s***-load of talent their. They're stuggling to find playing time for a lot of people. I'm thinking maybe the Rays. Thats the first team that popped in my head, though Rangers might make more sense IMO. This makes sense to me, I'm shocked no NL team took a flyer on JD, I know he's been terrible for awhile, but some of the NL lineups (Giants) are bad

southsider2k5
Damn. I'll miss Thome. Hopefully Kenny laid the groundwork for him to go to a contender, and maybe to come back next year.
