Quin
I already miss Thome. Man was always a class act when he was here, made everyone happy off the field and sometimes on. Guess this solves the DH dilemma for next year, unless we dump JD to.
justBLAZE
Thank you Jim, Kenny not f***ing around. Good.
quade36
Thanks for the 500th HR moment. And the one game playoff. I will miss him and glad to have a Thome Sox jersey.
MattZakrowski
Best for both parties I suppose, but is Thome just going to pinch hit in LA?
iamshack
This is the last guy I wanted to be dealt tonight. I just pray this doesn't mean Dye will be back next year.

WilliamTell
It's been a great run. I wish Jim could've gotten a ring with us. Thanks for the memories, especially the homer, the only run, in the play in game last year.
ThunderBolt
I'll miss you Jim. Thank your for the class you've shown, and everything you've given this team. I won't forget it, and i'll cherish the memories. To Big Jim Thome "The Blackout Bomber"

Paulie4Pres
White Sox took care of him. They made sure he went to a contender by throwing the cash into the deal. Good job to the Sox for being classy, and thanks for being awesome Jim. Let's hope he can get that World Series win in LA this year.

Quin
QUOTE (Kalapse @ Aug 31, 2009 -> 11:47 PM) As I watched that, played in mu head. It seems appropriate. I wish he could come back next year, I really do. We're gonna need a lefty, and I badly wanted to see him get 600 with us.

hammerhead johnson
Peace out, Big Jim. Gear up for those 8th and 9th inning ABs against right-handed relievers. You ain't never gonna sniff another lefty again. You also get to reunite with your former teammate/fellow roider Manny Ramirez. That should be nice. daggins
Jim has, during his time here, been certainly one of my favorite players on this team. Looking forward to the Dugout about this.

BFirebird
Good luck to JT Money. Hopefully he can come up with some big hits down the stretch for the Dodgers. I will be watching for him come playoff time.

Quin
I wouldn't mind Thome getting a ring, coming back and then getting 600.
hammerhead johnson
QUOTE (CQMVP @ Sep 1, 2009 -> 05:56 AM) Fellow roider? Are you seriously saying Thome is a roider? No, he's gonna end up with damn near 575 completely legitimate home runs. He's just that good.
whitesoxlove
I'm gonna miss him. The two moments I remember most from when Jimmy was a Sox was his 500th homer and his home run in the tiebreaker last year. His 500th homer came in 2007 which was a horrible year for the Sox and it one of the few highlights of that season, not to mention it was a dramatic walk off win against the Angels. And the Tiebreaker homer was the reason the Sox got into the postseason last year. Many people don't know how special the blackout game was. It was against our biggest rivals and the last time we went to the postseason, 2005, we clinched everything on the road. That was the first time we got to celebrate something on home turf in a while. Bye Jimmy, good luck.
