Well, how about this little note in the Shut Down Peavy article at the Trib site? Flowers was selected as the best defensive catcher in a poll of Southern League managers conducted by Baseball America. Basically what I thought as soon as I read that. It is difficult for me to be optimistic about anything WS at the moment. 2010 is starting to look good, so I'm starting to think of this as early Spring training.
