Spending one's time watching something that they think is hopeless is complete insanity and a waste of your time. Not really. Lots of people go to baseball games when their teams are out of it. The Cubs are playing the Sox. I have to work in two hours. I like the Sox. I don't get to see them all the time on TV here. Even though I feel we are hopelessly out of the race don't necessarily mean I'm wasting my time watching my favorite sport and favorite team.
