ChiSox_Sonix
QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Sep 3, 2009 -> 04:46 PM) Swisher was getting paid a ton more than Kotsay, and is rumored to have a bad attitude. (probably wouldnt translate well to bench player.) Kotsay seems like a good guy, has a decent swing and understands his role. At this stage in his career Kotsay is what a 25th man realistically would/should be.
Soxbadger
CQ needs work hitting as much as anyone right now. More time off isnt going to help him.
Princess Dye
QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Sep 3, 2009 -> 03:47 PM) I'd really be fine with essentially shutting Quentin down and letting AJ and Flowers split catching/DH duties. Could piss off CQ with regard to his probable desire for piling up stats for his future in arb
whitesoxbrian
This season was a huge disappointment. However, my 5 highlights are: 5. Winning 4/6 from the Cubs. 4. Winning our last game at the Metrodome. 3. Beckham = stud. 2. Seeing Beckham's first career HR live in Cincinnati. 1. Buehrle's PG.
MexSoxFan#1
QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Sep 3, 2009 -> 03:44 PM) Swisher would have been better on this team playin al 3 OF positions and 1B, but it is what it is that's one of KW's moves I hated, now Swish has been swing the bat for the Yanks, predictable

More time off isnt going to help him. Well what's the status with his foot? Did that ever truly heal? Cuz with him and Dye right now it's brutal to watch. And at least with Q it could potentially be lingering effects from his foot.
elrockinMT
QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Sep 3, 2009 -> 09:47 PM) I assume Bobby Jenks is in and if so he needs to leave his gas can in the pen Carrasco is in, but ditto for him

Soxbadger
If CQ was hurting at all then its a different story. From what I can tell CQ's foot is fine, its his ability to hit fastballs that has been the problem.

There's at least a chance you will one day flip 1 and 2 with regard to significance. I say this because Beckham is guaranteed first ballot obviously

Princess Dye
Did Alexei improve his D the second half of the year? I want to say yes, even though it's tough to say that after the play we just witnessed. Pretty impressive that he could be a .340 OBP by year's end. RockRaines
Alexei really needs to work on his footwork, couldnt get a grip on that thing though Hawk, it wasnt the runner in his way. Great win. I wish we were playing more NL teams.
