SoxAce
Even though he didn't get a hit, I think we are all gonna like that Flowers kid. He looked real good up there.

RockRaines
Carlos Torres baffles the Cubs by pitching exclusively from the stretch, not giving them enough time to pitch up the pitch call being relayed from CF.
Princess Dye
"That's what happens when you play a DH in left field" I hope Stone announces here 20 years. His honesty is ridiculously ideal. And i'm glad he takes the home team to task too. Edited September 3, 2009 by Princess Dye
RME JICO
10 out of our last 12 runs have come in the 8th and 9th innings. Are we turning this thing around?

witesoxfan
Carlos Torres has a spot on this roster in the future. I didn't see the game, but I've seen him pitch enough, and I think he has the stuff to retire hitters. He'd be a bad starting pitcher full time, other than in the NL, because he is erratic, but he could be productive out of the bullpen in the very near future. greg775
10 out of our last 12 runs have come in the 8th and 9th innings. Are we turning this thing around? If the other team's outfielders keep falling down in the 8th and 9th, we're in business.
son of a rude
I wonder if we will trade Torres in the offseason. His value went up from that start, and I don't think he has a future here with Hudson and Hynick here.
whitesoxfan101
We really should have went 6-0 against them, or at the very least, 5-1. The Cubs are absolutely AWFUL, even worse than us, and I'm not sure how they are even above .500. At any rate, I'll take a 4-2 season series against those assholes any day of the week. Nice to win the last game that will have any relevant feeling to it this season. Edited September 3, 2009 by whitesoxfan101

He's got a Mike Piazza like stance. Real old school. He looked very patient up there.
witesoxfan
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Sep 3, 2009 -> 04:08 PM) He could be a Carrasco type guy. I was thinking exactly that, with the possibility of being able to trust him in a slightly more important role.
greg775
4-2 season series against the Cubs is very good. f*** the Cubs. We are now ahead by two games in the all time series as well I think.
chw42
Which means we can lose the series next year...lol.
bmags
about 5 years ago I would've been happy with the season b/c we won the season series. Now I don't really care, but am happy there were some good atbats from beckham.

bjm676
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Sep 3, 2009 -> 04:08 PM) He could be a Carrasco type guy. I agree. Carrasco seems to be moving/groomed into a more important setup type role. Torres could be the long man out of the pen next year.
