You gotta admit Rios reminds you a lot of Anderson at the plate.

Not a flame. He's a stand up hitter who can't hit.

-- Pena. Please have your 3rd good game in a row!!!

Rios has had 3 years where he has hit .290 or better, has had 40 or more doubles twice, He is having a bad year. Stop with the Anderson comparisons. Its shows ignorance.

Makes you wonder if he were free to just hit and not worry about playing the field would that make a difference. But it's pretty clear we're trying to get away from DH only guys.

Unless something is really hurting him I can't imagine that's the difference. And if something is really hurting him, he should have had a DL trip rather than being an automatic 4 outs per game.

Do you think we are a worse team than Oakland? Why the struggle?

Oaklands got a better bullpen and better D. That tends to even things out. Plus we've been working with Torres , Garcia, Carrasco and what not as 4th , 5th starters since the Richard trade. Add a slumping Buerhle , Dye, Rios, Beckham . Throw in the lousy D and bullpen problem and yea we're just as bad as Oakland.

I don't really think that's it either. And it's hard to imagine JD would be hiding an injury that's bothering him to this extent. It could be nothing. Could be just a case of a 36-year old that's finally started to hit the decline phase.
