I missed that. Penny isn't past, but it's scary how bad he was in the AL and how he's suddenly rejevunated in the NL, with like a 1 week layoff.

 

Peavy is legit as s*** though. So long as he's healthy and has a fastball in the 94 MPH territory, he'll be fine.

Past his prime doesn't always have to mean age. Penny's stuff has fallen off considerably since he was the starting pitcher for the NL in the all-star game.
