greg775
Can Peavy go at least six, maybe seven innings or is this a five inning 80 pitch deal? If we are assuming we can still pull off a miracle over the choking Tigers and pesky Twins, this game will be as important as the rest and we don't need a middle reliever coming in the fifth inning. Go Peavy! Pitch six strong innings.

Rowand44
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Sep 16, 2009 -> 02:43 PM) Part of the Bachelor Party? Ya it is. I can't make it though cause I'm broke as hell 'til next week. Makes me even more jealous now that they get to see Peavy's first start. nitetrain8601
I'll be there. Regardless, the Sun-Times reported today that he will be on a pitch count around 75. He also admitted that he's not 100%, nor does he expect to be 100% this year.

Jordan4life_2007
I can't wait. Him pitching means nothing in the sense that it's going to get us any closer to a division title this year. That ship sailed about a month ago. But it'll be good just to get a look at him for hopefully 2-3 starts just to be sure he's healthy and there's no lingering effects from the earlier problems he had. GreatScott82
I'm going to really like Jake!! So far he looks mighty impressive. His curve ball is wicked and his fast ball tails off very nicely. Can't wait for a full season of Peavy next year

Chisoxfn
QUOTE (Sec101Row1 @ Sep 20, 2009 -> 08:27 AM) Does anyone know if Jake will pitch on Friday ? Looks likes were off on Thursday. The Sox also gave Jake Peavy an extra day so his next start will be Saturday night against Detroit, with Freddy Garcia moved up to Friday night.
