CQ still has a lot to learn about hitting IMO.

I am not just saying this cause Gavin is getting lit up.

But he's 11-10.

Why do we all assume our rotation is going to be unstoppable next year.

Gavin is not Tom Seaver. Danks is not Sandy Koufax.

They are good, but why are we assuming next year will be balls out excellence??

TCQ needs to be healthy. You can tell his drive in the box isn't quite right.

They started out super slow this year. Danks, IMO, took a step back this year. I expected Danks to be something like 17-9 or something, but I guess I expected a lot. If Peavy stays healthy, Floyd starts out fast, and Danks gets consistent, they'll have a damn good staff next year. Problem is, that's a lot of "ifs".

I agree the staff looks good, but I just sense a lot of people are assuming it's going to be amazing.

Even Mark sucked for an extended period after the perfect game.

Gavin's pitches are definitely screaming "hit me" tonight and he's only 11-10.

I remember during the spring people expected Gavin to regress. He hasn't been bad at all. Not good on the road but he's still young and hopefully that will come. He seems to go deeper into games than Danks does.

The sad thing is that Danks numbers are the best on the team this year.

The defense needs to really improve.
