BridgeportHeather
I hate to bring up an achillie's heel in good times like these...But I'm sitting here scratching my head as to why Jerry Manuel had Valentin and Olivo bunting on a 2-strike count when we really don't have any good bunters on this team. Those two outs could have cost us the game (thankfully they didn't). I don't like to bring up clouds when I don't have to, but these guys have got to work on bunting MUCH more. What a lost fundamental art bunting has become!
mac9001
Manuel has a habit of making guys bunt with 2 strikes, either teach them how to bunt or cut this s*** out Jerry.
Molto
having Valentin bunt was fine in my opinion. reason is Valentin wasn't going to do anything if he swung anyway as he can't hit righty. as far as Olivo? shouldn't of been bunting.
MurcieOne
Jerry has been on fire lately IMO
Chisoxfn
Olivo should never of had that at bat late in the game.
Jordan4life_2003
I guess the only way for these guys to get better at bunting is to bunt. That's the only thing I can think of...

I agree with that...But try that when the game's out of reach (or in practice) instead of a time where the game is on the line! I'm happy with the win though. Close gms late....Atleast in the al....

I've said this a thousand times, and I'll keep saying it - Valentin should NEVER bat right-handed again!!! If he can't f***ing HIT right-handed, why bother trying??? Just bat LEFTY - you're closer to first from the left side anyway! And that 2-strike bunting s*** is getting VERY old...that's just Jerry "managing"... to 2-strike bunts... mreye
I've said this a thousand times, and I'll keep saying it - Valentin should NEVER bat right-handed again!!! I've said the same thing. I didn't have too much of a problem with Jose bunting with two strikes, but like Farmio said on the radio, he should have switched over to the left side - he handles the bat a lot better over there. Now, Olivo, let the dumb bastard swing away. Especially after his "attempt" on strike 2. That was pathetic.

What a lost fundamental art bunting has become! You're so right about it being a lost art. I've been saying it for years. Ever heard of the "drag bunt"? Our Nellie Fox was an expert at it back in the day.
Joel
Why not tell the guys to go up there and bunt for a base hit. When they do that they usualy get it down, but when they are tring to sacrifice(except for Robbie), they never get it down.

Loaiza21
Maybe Buehrle should come in and bunt. He always gets it down.
