rangercal
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 30, 2009 -> 10:34 AM) You got it. And yes, this league is badass. I can't wait to play Washington... and hopefully indy in the AFC Championship Game. You better get some new moves AJ, after that evening of playing you I know all you have is slants and screens, the rest of your game is trash! Oh, and you can't stop DeSean Jackson, you can only hope to contain him! I can get in one more game tonight if it's moved to week 2 before I head to Vegas for the weekend. Can we have a weekend hiatus before heading to week 3? please. you took me out of my element when I had to play against the bears. I played online vs a dude with a 36 skill level today. actually he is ranked #5 on the PSN. he beat me 38-26. it was 30-26 with less than a couple mins to go. 8 of his points came off a cheap TD at the end of a failed onside kick, of course people ranked that high are usually pricks and go for 2 and go for tds when the could just kneel it, just to make it seem like the game was not close. You are the Hester screen. I remember from playing you. It appears you stuck with it if he had 18 catches for under 100 yards. I will do better stopping the next time. Screens will destroy the blitz.

The first game, he was the Bears, slants and the Hester screen all day long. He won by a field goal. The next game he was the Bears again and he dominated me. As I learned how to call audibles, and made a "no-Bears rule" it became simpler to beat AJ because I just took control of the guy who was on Hester and hit him within 5 years. I won the next two games. And AJ, yes, I LOOOOVE to give you s***. I'll get my 2nd game in tonight. Hopefully the AI starts making it harder on us. Steve9347
Played the second game. It was possibly the ugliest game in NFL history. Look at it.

Steve9347
QUOTE (rangercal @ Sep 30, 2009 -> 08:32 PM) Steve, sent you a ridiculous trade offer. Check it before you go to Vegas. AJ, I checked it, and I contemplated it for a good while... in the end I rejected it for a couple of reasons. 1. Cutler's mobility vs Palmer's: I need a guy who can get me out of trouble, because I tend to wait that extra second to get my fastest guys open. 2. You win up the middle: Trading my best DT, for a downgrade to mediocre would be bad for me. 3. The overall age of your offer: I loved the idea of getting Ware, but I have three young, talented linebackers, all age 23 or younger, who have speed, very solid talents already, and A's for potential, so I see no reason to break that up for a deal I don't absolutely love. The ages of the fellas you offered were 29, 27, 27, while the ones you would have received would have been 26, 22, 27. Considering I think we have some dedicated players who are going to want to see this through the 10 years we get, I don't want to get too far ahead of myself. If you wanted to talk about the deal but not involving Cutler/Palmer, you'd have yourself a deal. DrunkBomber
My second game went much smoother. I would have won by a lot more but I was trying to pad my WRs stats and threw an INT in the endzone from the 1. I play the computer every game during the season so this should be interesting. rangercal
I need to get the trading issue resolved. I have a couple players at critical positions that I DO NOT WANT. They don't suck, they just don't fit my style of play. I tried trading them within the group with no luck. I missed the first few rounds because I thought the thing would start at 10:30 (I figured we were waiting for steve and soxbadger), Please let me make a trade with the AI (a fair trade) so I can unf*** my roster. Thanks
Soxbadger
I agree with Rangercal on this matter. (and sorry I didnt respond to your ware trade, Ive been thinking about a way to make it work for both of us, I just cant figure it out though haha.) I would like to trade at least 2 of the guys the computer selected for me (Forte is hurt so cant trade him haha). My proposal is this: Rangercal and myself can trade the players for any player selected after our player. IE: If Samuels was selected 3rd round 5th pick, I could trade him straight up for any player picked after that point.
rangercal
That's a fair proposal. Any way to find the draft results? I've been trying to find them myself.
smalls2598
Hey guys, sorry to hijack your tread, but I do have a Madden question: if there anyway to get past all the halftime screens besides having to press X like 7 times? It seems illogical that the game would be created where you can't skip past all that crap. I never view any of it, and it's highly annoying to have to press X so many fricken times. I've been trying to find them myself. You want to be able to trade any player as long as its for anyone drafted after them? Im assuming you mean if the cpu agrees to the trade as well? I will set it up, just no trading draft picks. Also, if anything crazy ends up happening I think we should have a majority veto option similar to fantasy football. Soxbadger
You want to be able to trade any player as long as its for anyone drafted after them? Im assuming you mean if the cpu agrees to the trade as well? Yes, but Matt said that cpu accepts every trade so my worry was you could trade for some one picked in front of you. I will set it up, just no trading draft picks. Also, if anything crazy ends up happening I think we should have a majority veto option similar to fantasy football. Sounds great, thanks! DrunkBomber
Finished my third game. Wasnt as close as the score . Marian (The alleged) Barbarian decided to fumble twice in the red zone, once going in for a td that was picked up and ran back for a td and had a kick off return called back. My suspicions were right about my DE Michael Johnson that I had never heard of. It is the track star from a few Olympics ago and he had 5 sacks. DrunkBomber
QUOTE (rangercal @ Oct 1, 2009 -> 06:38 PM) How do we find the draft results? I am looking, I dont think we can. Any ideas for a solution? I am shopping Eddie Royal as well so I am curious what our best option is here. I think looking at a teams roster we can at least figure what round it was, but if youre talking swapping guys like Andre Johnson for Ed Reed it is going to be tricky knowing exactly where they went. Maybe post trades in here first and if nobody objects than go ahead with it.
Soxbadger
First question is: Does the CPU accept all trades or does the ai reject some?
kev211
I'm thinking about buying the game so can you add new players to this dynasty. The only reason I haven't bought it yet is because all my friends have it so I just play it there. This would give me more reason to buy it.
