DrunkBomber
QUOTE (kev211 @ Oct 1, 2009 -> 09:08 PM) I'm thinking about buying the game so can you add new players to this dynasty. The only reason I haven't bought it yet is because all my friends have it so I just play it there. This would give me more reason to buy it. I think its a hell of an idea

rangercal
QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Oct 1, 2009 -> 09:27 PM) I am looking, I dont think we can. Any ideas for a solution? I am shopping Eddie Royal as well so I am curious what our best option is here. I think looking at a teams roster we can at least figure what round it was, but if youre talking swapping guys like Andre Johnson for Ed Reed it is going to be tricky knowing exactly where they went. Maybe post trades in here first and if nobody objects than go ahead with it. I think this is the best option imho

rangercal
if anyone is not alright with this let me know. No more trades would be necessary after this one. here are the ratings and ages Palmer age 30 rating 88 Ware age 28 rating 98 Babineaux age 28 rating 82 Romo age 30 rating 87 Seymore age 30 rating 97 Pierce age 31 rating
DrunkBomber
I personally dont like it because IMO Romo is a much better Madden QB than Palmer and overall the two defensive players being acquired are better than the ones leaving. I definitely wouldnt oppose it though. I was testing the AI and offered Royal and Will Smith for Mario Williams and it just says offer accepted and posted it in pending trades. So I think they let everyone review them before being accepted. Note, I didnt expect this trade to be accepted and dont have intentions on doing it, Im just testing it. So go online and see what it looks like.
rangercal
Palmer is rated higher than romo. Romo does fit my style of play though. Palmer is such a statue out there, but has a much stronger arm. regardless, it's 88-87. And the best player in the entire trade comes from my side, a defensive guy with a 98 rating who is under 30. After the AI selected my first few picks, this trade is all I really want, but if it is overwhelmingly opposed, then I'll look into another deal. Soxbadger
Are we limiting trades to just the players who werent drafted by us? Or are we opening it to all trades? Because if we are opening it to everyone than I think we need to limit trades to maybe 1 or 2 players a year with heavy restrictions. DB said there is no way to find draft results, so that would just be a wild goose chase. But a trade limit is probably the right thing to do, and I don't see much reason why everyone else can't do one trade if they wanted. Soxbadger
What i mean is: You and I had players not picked by us, so are we the only ones who can trade or can everyone trade. Since youre trading a player not picked by you im more inclined to approve regardless.

I drafted the DT in my trade, but things are kinda messed up in my case because there is no way I would draft a OLB in the first round. I definitely would have went QB,DT,WR,OT,CB, or MLB. From an outsider looking in, I'd say you both should be the only ones able to trade or everyone should trade and the both of you can trade one more extra, whatever the limit is (everyone-1; you both-2 or everyone-2; you both-3, whatever) to make it fair. Then again, I have no idea whats going on, so now I will crawl into my corner again.. Edited October 2, 2009 by SoxAce

Soxbadger
Okay I tried to test trading and I think the computer accepts all trades. That being said I think the simplest solution for this season (offseason we could change rules) is that the only players that can be traded are those who were picked by the cpu, and they have to be traded for players of equal or lessor value. I proposed DE Kerney 93 for DT Tommie Harris 90 and LT Chris Samuels 93 for LT R Clady

It makes the season fun as long as it's not out of hand and within reason. I think the no trade rule was in effect by DB because of the complexity (draft picks and AI acceptance rate) . So I don't think anyone will be trading any punters for Tom Brady. lol

Im assuming we will have to deal with cap penalties and everything as well so it should be interesting.
Soxbadger
Im fine with allowing trades, I was thinking 1 or 2 in the off season. The guys id be trading are ones I didnt pick, Id be keeping Ed Reed and Forte.

I never seen any cap #'s online, so I imagine the madden servers are not capable to handle advanced statistics and high IQ for the AI. Damn turnovers. almost happened to me too. I had to score 17 unanswered to win by one. 3 ints, 2 fumble returns for TDS and field goals of 58 and 60 yards almost ended me!
