RME JICO
I just really hope Pena and Linebrink are not on this team in 2010. Awful.
son of a rude
I just really hope Pena and Linebrink are not on this team in 2010. Awful. Why? He is cheap and under control for the next couple years. He has great stuff too. You would rather just kick him off the team than have Coop work with him and help him get on track? jphat007
QUOTE (son of a rude @ Sep 26, 2009 -> 07:38 PM) Why? He is cheap and under control for the next couple years. He has great stuff too. You would rather just kick him off the team than have Coop work with him and help him get on track? He's s*** the bed in every big situation he's been put into. We're f***ed if he is any part of our setup team next year.

Coop has his hands full.
WCSox
QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Sep 26, 2009 -> 10:53 AM) But i just really believe that great pens get cobbled together and that to be a good team, you have to rely on some good luck with a reliever having a career year. I like building around an established closer and an established setup man. Some of the recent Angels teams with K-Rod and Shields are a good blueprint. beck72
One thing to consider is Linebrink should be good until the ASB. He's been solid the last 4 years until the break and then thrown like crap. That should leave the sox time to find another arm for his 2nd half fade. Ken Harrelson
Boy I tell you, the culture of this game has changed. Relief pitchers used to pitch 3 innings at a time, multiple games in a row. Edited September 30, 2009 by Ken Harrelson

witesoxfan
I'll just say that if you think Williams is going to end the offseason with that bullpen, you are crazy. Yeah, it could be good, but I might also stick to water on a Saturday night.
