Brian
Cliff Lee goes the distance in Game 1. Phillies win 5-1. How bad are the TBS announcers? I heard the color guy say multiple times that this was Cliff Lee's first post season start.
Balta1701
Cliff Lee may not be better than Halladay, but I think the Phils are happy with how that went.
Brian
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 7, 2009 -> 05:24 PM) Cliff Lee may not be better than Halladay, but I think the Phils are happy with how that went. Easily. Keeping Happ and Drabek is key for them.
Jordan4life_2007
QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 7, 2009 -> 05:47 PM) Easily. Keeping Happ and Drabek is key for them. Didn't Ricciardi want one of Brown/Taylor, too? And Jason Knapp, a key figure in the trade with the Indians, just recently had surgery I believe. So who knows how he'll bounce back. Rockies are a personal favorite team of mine in the NL so I'm going for them as well. Don't think they'll win however but I'm rooting for them. Balta1701
Process of elimination suggests lidge will still close for the Phils. If the Phils get to the next round and Pujols comes up in the 9th and the bases are loaded and it's a 1 run game and Lidge is your last pitcher, do you walk him? SoxAce
QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Oct 8, 2009 -> 05:19 PM) Good win for the Rockies. I'm hoping they win it all. Yea it would be nice. Best scenario would be a Rockies-Dodgers NLCS match so I wouldn't care who wins that cause I love Thome's Dodgers and my Rockies. Hopefully there will be a Rockies/Dodgers vs Angels (the only AL team I'm rooting for) World Series.

Swingandalongonetoleft
Count pitching. Just gave up the lead. Phillies have always been my plan B after the Sox but there is no way I could ever root against this elderly man. I see he gave up his #52... whitesoxfan99
Has there ever been a playoff team with a closer who had a worse season than Brad Lidge? I would feel so uncomfortable if I was a Phillies fan right now.
chw42
Man, there's so many damn blown calls in these playoffs so far. What are these umpires looking at? Utley's infield single was clearly a foul ball to begin with.
