G&T
I'm going to guess that Lee will be available for 2 innings. I think he will be the closer in Game 7 should they get that far.

ChiSox_Sonix
QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Nov 4, 2009 -> 04:39 PM) I think Pedro gets destroyed tonight. I so hope you're wrong. I wouldn't be surprised if 10 runs have been scored and they're into both pens by the 5th though. iamshack
Why do you guys think that? Pedro pitched pretty well in game 2... He's going to have to, because Petitte shut down Utley/Howard/Ibanez in game 3. The Phils need big games out of their righthanded bats tonight. Balta1701
I just feel like it's rolling the dice again. I just don't pheel like the phils are that lucky.

Kyyle23
QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Nov 4, 2009 -> 05:58 PM) Just a feeling I have. Yeah, the Phillies are riding on the arm of a guy who didnt feel like playing until the season was half over. Its not like Pedro is totally emotionally invested in this. Brian
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 4, 2009 -> 07:34 PM) in true soxtalk fashion, I say this about Pedro: "Pull him. Pull him now" That would require Manuel to be a good manager. All I know is if Pedro gets into trouble in the 3rd inning, you gotta yank him. Milkman delivers
You know what, I just found a reason to like the Yankees winning it. Hideki Matsui. I really like that guy (want him to be our DH next year), and he doesn't have a ring yet.

Brian
Pettite's got a lot of guts complaining about the strike zone. He is getting plenty off the outside corner. More than any pitcher probably should.
nitetrain8601
With that said, the Phillies did not bring their good hitting sticks tonight. I think it'll benefit the Phillies for another pitcher other than Pettite(hell even Mariano) to come in because Pettite will throw junk up there where as guys like Mariano will try to come after them and jam them inside. Just cheat a little inside and they have a better shot at scoring. With Andy and that strike zone though, it's not going to be easy.
ThunderBolt
Well, would you look at that. Guess you really can win by having the money and resources to buy all the talent.
MexSoxFan#1
With the money they spend on their payroll, there's no excuse for NY not competing year in and year out...they'll probably hit the half billion mark when they get Halladay and Mauer in the near future.
