danman31
People got mad at the Brandon Allen trade, but this seems to be the going rate for average relievers.
iamshack
Ok, I guess you can trade now, but just not sign free agents...

G&T
Major League Baseball generally discourages the completion of such transactions until after the World Series. (The Yankees and Phillies will play Game 6 on Wednesday.) SI
Kalapse
QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Nov 4, 2009 -> 08:44 AM) I thought players couldnt be traded until after the World Series. Normally Major League Baseball will suppress the announcement of trades during the World Series - they don't want anything taking attention away from the games - but it's perfectly legal to make a deal. Chisoxfn
QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Nov 4, 2009 -> 11:27 AM) And because Zobrist is just fine at 2B. Yep, Rays had no use for Iwamura. Financially they save money and we'll see what the Rays do with it. they also saved a ton when they moved Kazmir and if there pitching recoups they should be just fine to make another run next year.
