Another little tidbit apart from Willie Harris batting 3rd the other night. Ross Gload led off for the Phils yesterday.

That Phillies line up proves that either other world series winning managers are crazy, or Ozzie isn't as stupid as people think.

That was one game. And Jimmy Rollins is currently on the DL. No comparison to what Ozzie has done so far.

Polanco, Francisco, Werth and Victorino could all possibly leadoff. Ross Gload shouldn't be leading off for a team like that

Edit: Just seemed like a Sunday lineup then

Ryan Howard reportedly signs an extension with the Phillies.

Ryan Howard signed a five-year extension with the Philadelphia Phillies on Monday. The team said the deal guarantees Howard $125 million over five years and could reach $138 million over six.

Howard, a former National League Rookie of the Year and MVP, was scheduled to become a free agent after the 2011 season.

CSNPhilly.com first reported the two sides were close to deal.

Yeah, it was just a lineup giving people some time off. Not that crazy to do occasionally.

I do love me some Ross Gload.

there are 3 guys in the nl who are 4-0 with eras of 1 or lower.

ubaldo, hallady, and lincecum

should be an interesting cy young race (my pick, halladay)

There are now 4 guys in the NL who are 4-0 with ERAs of 1 or lower

Ubaldo Jimenez

Roy Halladay

Tim Lincecum

Mike Pelfrey

(one of these things is not like the other, one of this things just doesn't belong)

He only 2-1, but can almost throw Livan Hernandez on that list as well.

Saw this in a Yahoo article about fans getting hurt at games...

"During spring training, Minnesota outfielder Denard Span lined a foul ball that hit his mother sitting in the stands near the Twins’ dugout."

Geez. What are the odds of hitting your mother with a line drive during a game?

The moment SOMETHING didn't make sense in UZR, people have to go crazy and say "see, sabermetrics = invalid, ignorance FTW"

The new improvements in UZR, which take positioning and park factor into account, has Jason Bay at a +2 instead of a -13 he was given last year.

Due to this, some guy at the Boston Herald and Deadspin decided to say sabermetrics = invalid and that Jason Bay deserves some kind of an apology.

Nice research done...

Too bad his UZR in the past three years is like -30...
