In each of his last 8 starts, he has given up one ER or less, a total of 4 ERs. With Johnson, Carpenter, & Marcum, just to name a few, I'd say the doctors have this whole Tommy John surgery thing figured out.

Just found out that this has only been done eight times since 1900. And he's one more start of 1 ER or less at becoming only the third pitcher since 1900 to accomplish this feat in 9 consecutive starts (the only two being Bob Gibson and a guy named Jack Coombs). Josh Johnson is on a historical run of excellence and he's getting about 2.3% of the pub that Strasburg gets for picking his nose.

MLBN showed a hysterical clip from the Astros/Giants game... the ball boy down the line in RF gets a foul ball walks about 50 feet back past tons of kids begging for the ball, waves down a hot blonde and gives it to her, the analysts were going crazy, it was really funny.

Absolutely crazy ending in the LA game. Dodgers fans must really hate Matt Kemp.

And what an idiot Martin was too. At least on Kemps it was a crazy pick off move (a few of us watching the game after our softball game thought it was a balk).

Never seen an ending quite like that. Dodgers had the run coming across, until Martin decided to be an idiot and make a big turn around 2nd.

Interleague tally...

AL 102

NL 96

..and that includes the White Sox, Rangers, and Red Sox a combined 33-9. The other AL teams are 69-87.

That's incredible. Also explains how the Sox have made up so much ground, other than them obviously not losing.

And yeah, not sure i've seen an ending quite like the Dodgers one last night, wow.

Carl Crawford was just removed from today's Rays game in the top of the 3rd for absolutely no reason. Has he been traded???

Nevermind, sore shoulder.

The Rays are in the thick of a division race, why would they trade a guy who is arguably the best left fielder in the game?

I'm thinking it was just a thought of his as Crawford was up to bat, and stayed in Left the next inning. Then boom, he's out.

I'm sure it was, but it's a bit of an overreaction when there are several other more logical explanations for a guy being pulled in the 3rd, like a minor injury or a managerial decision (as Maddon has pulled Upton for not hustling before) as opposed to a trade. Desmond Jennings hasn't exactly torn up the minor leagues this year either, and on top of that, he's been a bit banged up too.

Half of the AL teams have losing records.

There are 5 AL teams under .500 overall, 4 of them have losing interleague records & Seattle is only 8-7. TB & Min are the surprises in the under .500 interleague crowd. Other than that, the AL's s***ty teams just suck no matter what league they play.
