chw42
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 21, 2010 -> 12:57 PM) There have been a few new improvements made to UZR. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/index.php/uzr-updates It's good that they've now taken positioning into consideration. That was one of the knocks against it before. Edited April 21, 2010 by chw42

ThunderBolt
QUOTE (kev211 @ Apr 21, 2010 -> 11:57 PM) Phil Hughes no hitter through 7. Broken up after he got nailed in the chest on a liner by Chavez and couldn't track down the ball.

Jordan4life_2007
QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 21, 2010 -> 11:12 PM) Rasmus showing some massive power so far this season. Pujols goes 0/5 and they still put up a 9 spot. The Cardinals are good.
caulfield12
The amazing thing is the Cardinals are worth only $2 million USD more than the White Sox. 2 franchises (and fanbases) that seem like they're worlds apart right now.
Jordan4life_2007
QUOTE (Brian @ Apr 21, 2010 -> 08:39 PM) Bullpen should stay home when Halladay starts Just watched the highlights. He got a TON of defensive support behind him. But yeah, the guy is peerless when it comes to going the full 9.
JorgeFabregas
Anyone see that Jon Link (former White Sox farmhand) made his major league debut the other day? 2 IP, 1 BB. Got sent down again shortly thereafter.

caulfield12
Break up the A's. Are they actually for real with that line-up? I'll believe someone can beat the Angels over the long haul when I see it, but good win for an improving young ballclub against the Yankees. Ziegler and Bailey make up a very strong combo to end games. Sweeney at .722 OPS w/ no homers, 9 RBI's. Gio struggled yesterday with Yanks' line-up. Of course, a lot of teams will suffer that same fate this year. Ubaldo Jimenez an early season monster, with Halladay. Will be 4-0, ERA around 1. Only 3 hits today, although it's a Nationals team with Willie Harris (he of the 927 OPS) in the 3 hole...STILL, the Nationals have been scoring a ton of run, close to first in the NL. Yes, the NATS. But their team ERA is 6 and Livan Hernandez (somehow a 0.41 ERA) hadn't even given up a run until today...how's that for bad pitching?? They really need Strasburg as soon as he's close to ready. Miguel Olivo with another runner thrown out stealing...7 FOR 9, best ratio in baseball (came to mind since another thread was talking about AJ's D). Also sporting a 978 OPS. Who would ever think that Willie Harris and Miguel Olivo would ever be doing that? Edited April 22, 2010 by caulfield12

Posted his stats and such on our minor league board. f*** you Chris Davis. Just stay in the minors and strike out 4 times a day down there and finally quit killing my fantasy teams. Good to see the Rangers not worrying about the service time clock and doing whats best for the team and calling Smoak up in April.

Well, that's another good argument for revenue-generating strength of MLB for small markets. It's basically the same amount the Reds spent on Chapman. http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news?slug=jp-alignment042010 JEFF PASSAN on baseball realignment Edited April 23, 2010 by caulfield12
