Jordan4life_2007
QUOTE (joejoedairy @ Apr 24, 2010 -> 12:18 AM) there are 3 guys in the nl who are 4-0 with eras of 1 or lower. ubaldo, hallady, and lincecum should be an interesting cy young race (my pick, halladay) This should end up being one of the closest races ever. I love Ubaldo. He's a legitimate ace. But I fully expect it to come down to the big two. I'm taking Roy as well. With the offensive support he has now, there's really no reason he can't win 20-22 games. And it might just come down to a fickle stat like wins to differentiate the two. Jordan4life_2007
Has there been a worse everyday position player in baseball than Carlos Lee? Balta1701
Man this would be a killer lineup Figgins Beckham Teixeira Quentin Lee Aramis Ramirez Pierzynski/Zaun Melky Cabrera And go ahead and put David Ortiz at DH. That'd be like a .450 OPS on the season.
Quin
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 24, 2010 -> 08:27 PM) That was an awful contract the day he signed it. If you knew someone would get fat and lazy, it was Carlos. My dad said he wanted to acquire Lee the other day for DH. I asked him if he was crazy. Princess Dye
Pointless to discuss right now, but had we won the Johnny Damon sweepstakes... we'd have this weird situation where Andruw Jones should be playing everyday and Juan Pierre should be sitting in favor of Damon. Or maybe not. I dont know. But still I'll post.
Jordan4life_2007
Looks like Barry Zito might be back. 8 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 3 BB, 10 K against the second best offense in the NL. He looked vintage 2002 watching the highlights. If that team gets any type of offense. Wow. Oh, and I'm now convinced the NL west is the second best division in baseball. SoxAce
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 24, 2010 -> 07:27 PM) That was an awful contract the day he signed it. If you knew someone would get fat and lazy, it was Carlos. It was brutal even if he was putting up Adam Dunn numbers, but to be fair, you can't ignore the .882, .937, and .831 OPS he put up the last three seasons from the 65 at-bat sample size this season. If anything he (and Tex) should give us hope for Quentin, Beckham etc.. to get it going soon as you know he will.

whitesoxfan99
The AL East is loaded, you could make a really good case for the Yankees and Rays being the best two teams in baseball and then you still have the Red Sox and Blue Jays who are solid teams.
