Anyone I have off of school . . . So that Memorial Day - Fourth of July - Labor Day stretch is pretty cool :headbang

I love being in the Chicago area on the 4th of July. Between the baseball, fireworks, and you throw in the Taste and the free XRT concert on the 4th...those are good days.

Christmas is the ONLY holiday that I like. I love the whole month of December with all the lights and cheerful songs and giving and warm hearts and souls....................what the f*** am I saying?

This. Seriously. I love Christmas like no other. It's just a feel-good time of year.

Easter is it for me, but I should qualify that statement by noting I am Greek orthodox, which is a totally different experience than most people know. It is frequently later in the spring than western easter so the weather is warmer and all the commercialization is gone leaving the ethnic traditions to stand out. We roast lamb on a spit over a wood charcoal fire and drink wine and ouzo all day. My mother has a huge yard so it has always perfect for hosting. Lots of fun and endless memories.

We did that one year. My Dad had a farm and had some Greek friends come over for an Easter barbecue. The Greeks did the lamb and it was AWESOME. There is nothing quite like ouzo, too. It was an unforgettable day. I can totally understand how Easter would be your favorite holiday!
