Jordan4life_2003
I'll just go on and assume that there's no way we can't get both. So what do we need more? Don't get me wrong...I would love a quality 5th starter. But I look up and down baseball and don't see too many teams with 5 quality starters. I still think will be alright if the offense is there. We need another arm in that pen. Right now unless your last name is Gordon or Marte our pen sucks. White has been better but still not as reliable as u would like him to be. Wunsh is back. We need another guy that we can throw at teams to take the heat off Gordon and Marte. A guy that can come in in the 5th, 6th, or 7th and get guys out....Let me know what u guys think.... KipWellsFan
I believe that very soon, if not traded we'll be able to put more trust in Gary Glover. This guy has fairly good stuff and last year was lights out in the pen at the beginning of last year. Then I would have confidence in 4 relievers, Marte, Gordon, Wunsch, Glover. dasox24
I'm not so sure I want to go to a 4 man rotation, I want to have our starters at full strength in the playoffs. This way they will be able to go deep into games, and we wont have to worry about our bullpen as much. But, to answer your question, I would rather get another good reliever and call up Diaz to be our 5th starter.

witesoxfan
Why would you assume we can't trade for both? Trade Lee or Konerko to LA and get Mota, Shuey, or Quantrill. Then trade for Suppan, D'Amico, or others. Hell, we would still have enough to get another arm for the pen if we need it. The thing that would be sweet as s*** would be if we could get someone to take on Koch if we paid half his salary. He is killing us. Hell, I'd take Antonio Osuna over f***ing Koch. What we need more is some bullpen help. But we need both BADLY.

elrockinMT
A 4-man rotation for starters doesn't work. We need another starter, who will probably come in a trade before the 31st. We also need a relief guy, but it looks like Ginter is the choice there. I am thinking maybe Koch is on the block!?

rafacosta
5th starter, try to get Suppan, he is having a good year and he will come cheap.
doubleM23
A 5th starter is more important because the more depth and talent you have in your rotation, the better your bullpen will be. That, however, is not true when 180ed.
