Felix
I feel dirty saying it, but ABBA is one of my guilty pleasures. I saw Mamma Mia on Broadway awhile ago for my mom's birthday and really enjoyed it, despite expecting to hate it.

Yeah, a friend left a greatest hits cd in my car, I started playing it and didn't stop for a week. Great vocals.

Felix
I knew I shouldn't have posted that. To my credit, the only ABBA I've listened to is the Mamma Mia soundtrack (which I don't own or have on my computer), but it's pretty catchy stuff. I do have one ABBA song on my computer (Dancing Queen ) but it rarely gets played. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go cleanse myself with some Regyptian Strut. SoxAce
QUOTE (knightni @ Nov 30, 2009 -> 11:58 PM) Grandmaster Flash and The Furious Five got in - in 2008. RunDMC went in this past year. The Hall is trying to bring in hip-hop fans. Run is probably the only influential rap group anyone can make a case for. I don't mind them getting in especially considering they helped change the complexion of hip hop and rock n roll together. I love Flash, LL, etc.. but unless my memory is very hazy about LL, I don't even remember him collaborating with a rock n roll artist much less having any kind of influential mentions in the past. Hell, at this point I hope RHCP gets into the Hip Hop HOF as well. Anthony Kiedis rapping in a song is better than half these jackasses out right now. Chicago would be in if they had stopped recording in 1978 after Terry Kath died and they stopped working with their original producer. Everything from Hot Streets and later is a blight on the absolutely phenomenal band Chicago was prior to that time. Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five are the reason anyone today still knows who Liquid Liquid is, and for that alone they belong in a hall of fame. But seriously, they've been hella influential in the rock world. But LL? The ladies may love cool james but The Replacements deserve that nod way before LL does. MexSoxFan#1
I was all excited to watch on HBO the 25th anniversary rock and roll HOF concert but I found that except for a few moments of the show,it was by and large boring as hell. Mick Jagger has completly lost his voice,he was awful...
