lostfan
Yeah I wrote this as my facebook status. To say "wow you f***ed up" understates it quite a bit.

G&T
QUOTE (Tex @ Dec 3, 2009 -> 06:53 AM) But is it worth $100,000?? No, but that's the maximum the attorney has deemed she can receive.
southsider2k5
The fun part is that you can't really apologize anymore, otherwise it constitutes a potential admission of guilt. Yeah lawyers!
Middle Buffalo
It's unlikely that this is a USPS error. Someone in the military at the point of delivery messed up, methinks. Seems like the post office just returned the mail to the sender that was returned to the post office as undeliverable. FlaSoxxJim
The unnecessary mental suffering the woman was put through from this mistake is undeniable, but if it was me in the grand scheme of things I'd sure rather find out that my kid wasn't dead after all, regardless of what sort of compensation a lawyer was able to get for me. G&T
QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Dec 3, 2009 -> 10:07 AM) The unnecessary mental suffering the woman was put through from this mistake is undeniable, but if it was me in the grand scheme of things I'd sure rather find out that my kid wasn't dead after all, regardless of what sort of compensation a lawyer was able to get for me. But it appears that she's an anti-war protester, so I'm sure this is about publicity more than money.

Oh, I'm sure it's mostly about the money.
Texsox
If someone looked at the letter and said Najbar!? That's the b**** that is protesting the war. Watch what I do! Then write the check and fire whomever did that. But, if it was Najbar!? I thought you said Neighbor! Shazamm, I told you the wrong person. Than please accept our deepest appologies for the mistake and go away.
