dasox24
I hope Sweeney's injury doesn't make him sit out long. Of course, he had to get hurt right when he was starting to get hot. Why does this have to happen to both Anderson and Sweeney? I was really excited to see how they'd do in their first season's of minor league baseball. Spiff
Does Rogowski have any trade value, you think? He seems like a decent prospect, his average is pretty good, though he doesn't seem to hit for much power. To my untrained eye he seems like a Randall Simon-type. MnSoxFan
No one would give up much for Rogo, 1Bmen are easiest position to fill, without power and his inability to get hot enough to go to AA, he is not a commodity.

MnSoxFan
Myers is an undrafted free agent, gonna be tough to make it, he will have to work extra hard, he is also old for Rookie ball, had a good season last year too at Arizona Rookie League. He hit .333 with a .424 OBP last season. That is impressive, but he was playing mostly against kids 3 and 4 years younger, since he was born in Dec of 1979. southsider2k5
Anyone think it will be Dan Wright called back up. Notice that he and Rauch pitched on the day our fifth starter did... I think that it will be one of these two who is the next try at #5.
MnSoxFan
Better not be Rauch, he has not shown much at all this year.

Agreed...and first baseman that don't hit for power aren't really a commodity, especially when they aren't playing at a high level. Not saying Rogowski won't become something cause I still think he could see his avg. jump quite a bit, but right now there is no value for him. quickman
as I mentioned in other threads I think Dan Wright will be called back up in a week. I also think we will get another relief pitcher via trade.
Rex Hudler
what exactly happened to sweeney? All we know is he was hit by a pitch in a game the other night. He only had one AB plus the HBP, when every other starter had 5 or 6 AB's in the game, so the assumption is that he left the game after being hit by a pitch. That's all we know at this point.
