danman31
2009 All-FutureSox Team We wanted to make an all-star team of sorts for FutureSox, but fielding an ‘all-prospect’ team would be as easy as picking the top player at each position from our 2009 Postseason Top 25 Prospects. Clearly that would be somewhat redundant. Instead, we decided to create the All-FutureSox Team as the best performers of 2009. Forget age and park adjustments, this is simple stats. Who had the most productive year for his minor league team(s)? That’s what this is. more...

This team was purely based upon performance, not tools. If it was based upon tools you'd have seen a big debate between Danks and Mitchell as they are by far and away the teams two best outfield prospects. Trayce Thompson would be a close third and a wild card would be Dayan Viciedo if the club moved him to third. He would fall within the #1 through #3 range depending on the person you asked. Right, Mitchell didn't play enough or dominate enough to get the spot. An all-prospect team would clearly have Mitchell, Danks and Thompson.
