Cooked my first ever meal on my own grill tonight. Just wanted to say that.

As a man who sucks at cooking and beyond most men everywhere (minus the pansies...er...cookers though I'm making fun of one of my best friends too, since he is quite the cook) I'll be the first to congratulate.

I rarely cook, but when I do I am actually quite good. It's actually a skill that is pretty nice to have.

Oh believe me.. I wish I did, but I feel alot better that most men I know can't cook or are merely average cookers. We make fun of our friend, but when that guy cooks.. well.. lets just say he can be pretty popular with the ladies.

I feel like every guy should have at least a couple great meals they cook. If you can make a few that will be sure to please, that's all you need.

If I make one meal every 2 weeks, my wife is ecstatic.

crock pots are my friend.

My wife's new job is nightmarishly time-consuming, so I'm on the hook for dinner 3-4 days a week. I'm a pretty solid cook so that's fin and well, but neither of us much care for the clean-up detail.

One of the best purchases I've ever made.

I'm gone from 7 am to 7 pm every day during the week so when I get home i dont wanna make anything that takes any amount of time. Letting something cook all day in the crock pot is wonderful.

Did you end up going with gas or charcoal?

Charcoal. Figured I should learn how to use that one first, then go ahead and splurge on the ridiculously expensive gas grill when I move to a more permanent job/home.

If you are going the ridiculously expensive route later on, you can even get the gas/charcoal hybrid and have the best of both worlds
