She is actually a ton better. There was a period of time where she thought still lived and worked where she did 30 years ago. Things are a lot better now. There are still some recent memory gaps, but most everything is back to normal, or close to it. No stroke, no Alzheimer, no drug interactions, nothing psychological, they can't find anything. The frustrating part is that we have no idea what happened, well that and the arrogant doctor who thinks we don't deserve the chance to try to find out something.

Man, I hope all is well with the family from that Mike. That is very sad, and frustrating.

Something extremely similar happened to my grandmother a couple of months ago. I believe it was a bacterial infection or something similar, which apparently can result in older patients believing they are in a specific situation from years before. Give me a minute and I'll find out exactly what she had.

OK, I called and asked my mom exactly what my grandmother had. She said it was just an infection (I asked if it was specifically bacterial and she said yes, but she sounded like she wasn't really sure). But infections can sometimes have that effect on the elderly, apparently.

How old was she? My mom is only 58. She still lives alone and works as a nurse.

What are you doing on the Socal area. You in Oceanside or Carlsbad?

Security project at the San Onofre Giant Boobs. I'm staying in Mission Viejo this week. I'll probably be back again next Tuesday but I don't know where I'm staying then.

lol I know what that's like... now imagine it being in a combat zone and having it only be about 200 meters from where you're living.

Yeah, I'm glad I know that they're only training exercises.

On the bright side... if you happen to be taking a s*** and a fire mission suddenly comes up, the reaction your body gives you will finish it for you.

Have you ever seen a fox? And then realized "s*** that's a fox, I've never seen one in real life"?

I thought you were talking about a super attractive woman.. then I saw the second question, which was a total buzz kill.

Yes actually that was my exact reaction when I saw a Fox like 2 years ago on my campus at school. Random place to see a Fox.

actually I have seen quite a few foxes in the past couple years. I saw one this past winter getting into a neighbors garbage around dawn on my way to work, I saw one this summer when I was driving to see my dad at the hospital, it crossed route 59 like it was no big deal and just kept going, it was around barrington. Sadly I have seen more than a few of them squished on Route 20 and Route 31 near Fox river(go figure).

Haha, that's funny b/c I guess that's the reaction I had when I first saw a fox on the golf course I used to work at.

Haha yes.

I remember when i was in high school riding my bike back from my friends. He had a mini-mansion and his house was way up on a hill. There was a stone/dirt back road that ran into a street by mine so i'd take that way home usually. One day on the way back something ran in front of me and it was red and I had the same "oh s***, i think that was a fox" reaction.

I'm not sure if I've ever seen a fox, unless they have them in a zoo somewhere and I saw it a long time ago. I have had that reaction to seeing a coyote, though. When I was living in Massachusetts, I was driving down one of those streets with no lighting at night, and running right along the side of my car was a coyote. I had never seen one in person before, but it was definitely not a dog. After looking up more pictures of them and ensuring that they existed in that area (which a friend of mine absolutely would not believe), I was confident that it was a coyote.

get used to seeing Coyote in the Chicago area, even the city. They've been adapting quickly here and moving in all over the place.

And now, we had our first Wolf sighting in Illinois a few months back, as the packs in Wisconsin continue to thrive and push south.

People are already in a panic about coyote in some of the suburbs (with, mostly, no good cause to be), wolves will increase that tension a lot (again, without any good reason, in terms of human safety).
