He'd be our 3rd starter slotting behind Buehrle/Peavy and in front of Floyd.

Not a chance. Add almost a run to his ERA and then tell me where you slot him.

If you had Buehrle as our #1 then:

Buehrle

Peavy

Danks

Zambrano

Floyd

G-d forbid Z was ever on the White Sox!

Meh.. I think Oz would set him straight. Plus he is a huge sox fan, so he could overachieve here. The problem with him is he makes too much damn money.

I'm actually taking Floyd above Zambrano too, but I'm also an admitted Floyd homer.

I'd have Peavy before Buehrle. Given Z's regression you're probably right to say that he should slot a bit lower. I'd place Floyd before Danks though.

Zambrano has more god given ability than anyone on our staff, but his mental state makes him dicey. I think I would take Floyd as well, because you know what you are going to get from him, especially in a big game.

This would have been true like 3-4 years ago, but I'd have to say that both Floyd and Peavy are far more talented.

The Cubs have the highest average ticket price in baseball, according to an analysis by Team Marketing Report, and also had the second-highest ticket increase in 2010.

The average ticket price at Wrigley Field is $52.56, according to TMR, barely edging out Boston ($52.32) and the New York Yankees ($51.83). The White Sox rank fourth at $38.65. The average major-league ticket price is $26.79.

The Cubs also had a 10.1 percent increase over 2009, which trailed only a 45 percent increase by the Minnesota Twins, who are moving into a new ballpark, Target Field.

The average increase in major-league ticket prices over 2009 was 1.7 percent. The Cubs added 12 games in their highest-priced tier, going from 14 to 26 games in "platinum" games.

The Cubs also rank second to Boston in Fan Cost index -- the price of taking a family of four to a game. The FCI for the Cubs is $329.74, an 8.2 percent increase. Boston's FCI is $334.71, a 2.6 percent increase.

I doubt it is coincidental that the two highest FCI's are also home to the two oldest ballparks in the game. Maintenance costs are a b****.

Actually, I'd guess it's the lack of things like luxury boxes and the limited number of seats (especially at Fenway) that pushes ticket prices up there.

I'd take it one step farther. It is a supply/demand curve and quite frankly there is and always will be high high demand for the Cubs & Red Sox and because of it they can charge what they want and always raise prices.

It is why I have never understood why the Sox charge as much for ticket prices as they do. They are a very expensive team to go see and I really would like to see what would happen to attendance and overall revenue if the team actually dropped ticket prices by a decent chunk (again, I have no idea whether it would have much of an impact or not).

All I know is that the Angels are a pretty good value, even though they've been raising ticket prices for a while.

Lol at the Cubs bullpen.

Blew a great game from Dempster.

You're going to see quite a bit of that this year. That bullpen is absolutely appalling. And I think it's safe to say that the Tommy John surgery didn't effect Billy Wagner's arm one bit. That fastball was exploding. And if his slider is workin' like that all year, 45-50 saves should be a foregone conclusion.

He looked outstanding. No doubt it may be the biggest steal of the FA players signed by anyone. Can't believe that guy once threw right-handed before his arm got destroyed.

I think the story goes that he broke his right arm in high school, so he went out back to his barn and just started throwing with his left arm over and over until he got it right.

yeah, and he never did anything else left handed, I think I heard him say other than throwing a baseball he is/was really uncoordinated with his left arm

Danks led the Sox in ERA and quality starts last year.
